Each season the Front Royal Cardinals offer college and high school students from all over the country the opportunity to participate in the many tasks associated with producing a high-quality baseball event. Front Royal internships are unpaid positions with the possibility of a post-season bonus based on merit.

 

The regular season is 42-games, including 21 home games. Post-season games vary from as few as 2 games to a maximum of 9 games, of which roughly half would be at home. A mandatory preseason orientation will be scheduled before opening day.

Sales & Marketing

One Lead Intern needed

 

You will have administrative duties in developing and implementing marketing strategies. ... Your insightful contribution will help develop, expand and maintain our marketing channels.

Sports Medicine Trainer
Two Interns Needed

 

Will work with our athletic team and other sports/duties as assigned. Specifically, they will assist with direct provision of injury evaluation, athletic training, and rehabilitation services for intercollegiate student-athletes.

Sports Media Director
One Lead Intern needed

 

Housing will be provided by team
A complete understanding of the game of baseball is required
Coordinate with Play-by-Play, Photographer, Video, Website & Social Media Intern
Coordinate with Valley Baseball League Sports Media Director

 

Play-by-Play Broadcasting
Two interns needed

A complete understanding of the game of baseball is required
Must provide sample
22 home games June/ July plus any home play-off games
Home games: two interns work together in broadcasters booth

Website and Social Media Assistants
Two intern needed

 

One off season to coordinate site prior to season start
One during season to coordinate with all other interns

Video Productions
Two interns needed

 

A well-rounded knowledge of the game of baseball is required
Home games only, throughout the entire season
Management of multiple remotely controlled cameras for internet streaming
Two interns work together in broadcasters booth
Post videos to web site, Social Media and coordinate with Sports Media Director

 

Game Day Events
Four interns needed

 

Familiarity with the game of baseball is helpful, but not required.
Home games only throughout the entire season – stat sheets, lineups, raffles, donations, Sponsor welcome, banners, PSAs.

 

Sports-writing
Two interns needed

 

A complete understanding of the game of baseball is required.
Recap stories of all games, home and away throughout the entire season
Feature Stories – freelance topics, season recap for newsletter, BASELINES
Video interviews of players and coaches
Management of Team Website to post game stories

 

Retail Management
Two interns needed

 

Home games in the Cardinals Merchandise Store at Bing Crosby Stadium

Interns must be available to work all 22 home games plus play-off games immediately following which could be as late as August 5th.
